GJA AB Summer Mixer

Your $50 ticket gets you entrance to the event, one custom cocktail and the piece of mind that you changed the life of a smart, middle school boy.

This event is hosted by GJA's Associate Board. The AB is a group of people, ages 21-40 that works to support the boys while they attend GJA and in the years beyond through fundraising, events and volunteering.

George Jackson Academy, now in its 15^th year, is a remarkable place: a launching pad for futures bright and promising, and a community which nurtures integrity, friendship, success and confidence. As New York City's only school created for bright, low-income young men – a group that is at such high risk -- GJA bridges the gap so many boys face between their limited opportunities and their soaring potential. Each GJA graduate has gone on to a selective high school, including some at Dalton, Andover, Riverdale, Bronx Science; 98% of our college-age alums are either attending a four year college or have graduated from a four year college (including schools such as Columbia, Wesleyan, Brown and many others).
